Rapidly increasing oil demand in the world market has spawned an energy crisis amid an already worsening global warming problem.  Thankfully, the world community is already alerted to the problem.  As a global citizen, shall we ignore this problem until it can no longer be solved?

Alternative energy is the solution to these problems.  The energy from wind, sunlight, water, waste, biomass and natural gas can create a balance in the environment, reduce the energy crisis and global warming.  Only by cooperation in research and sharing knowledge can we save the world’s population.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has organized the World Alternative Energy Sciences Expo 2009 (WAESE 2009) to seriously exchange knowledge, ideas, experience, and establish the networks to solve this global warming issue.  It is the first alternative energy science and technology exhibition of this type in Asia and the world.
